Santhosh Zacharia

Santhosh Zacharia is a Civil Engineer by profession from India who moved to Canada in 2006. He obtained his IHM Canada Property Management certification from Humber College in 2008. Santhos began his career as a Property Manager in 2008 with Gowan Property Management in Toronto. He has since worked with Metcap Living Management, Capreit, Durham Region Housing, Toronto Community Housing, City Park Co-op, YWCA Toronto, and Oxford Properties.
Santhosh is a member of ONPHA, the St. Vincent De Paul Society, and the Markland Wood Golf Club. He has served on several social housing boards in various capacities, including as a board member of AIS Toronto, President of Deep Quong Housing in Toronto, and for 12 years with Victoria Shuter Housing, where he has been a board member and the President for the last three years.

I enjoy spending time on our Terrace and looking at the garden there. My passion is to help make our building accessible for all. I suggested the accessibility entrance to the 7th floor terrace and also provided feedback on the garden in the back of or building. I am always willing to help others in any way I can by listening and lending a helping hand.

My name is Lana Nwaokoro. I have joined the Board of Directors at Victoria Shuter nfp in January 2023 as one of four external Board members. I am an accredited Property Manager with the Institute of Housing Management and Certified Practitioner with the Canadian Institute of Housing. I have managed housing co-ops and non for profits for the last 11 years and am currently taking care of a 149 unit , federal housing co-op in Regent Park. In the past I managed properties in Mississauga and York Region. I have plenty of experience as tenant myself as I was raised in European social housing and have raised my family in co-op, non for profit and social housing environments. I am an avid volunteer and am currently serving as a Board member for Coaction Staff Association and United Way’s Homelessness Prevention Community Advisory Board for a decade. In my free time I am a proud mum, cat mum and grandma and enjoy swimming, cycling and reading. I am an active affordable housing advocate and strongly believe that housing is a basic needs and needs to be accessible to everyone without exception. I enjoy working with the other Board members as a team to make Victoria Shuter a safe place to live and work

Randy began working in the nonprofit sector immediately after his graduation from York University. He has worked in Toronto’s diverse community sector for many years now. His career began at Scadding Court Community Centre working in tech support and as an ESL tutor volunteer. He has worked at a number of community organizations in the Greater Toronto Area, developing a community internet program for newcomers to Canada, overseeing the development of an early prototype content management system giving program staff more control to develop their online content. adopting an open source learning management system called Moodle to train teaching assistants and working in Scarborough on a Collective Impact youth employment project. He spent time at the Ontario Nonprofit Network as the Lead for Sustainable Development Goal #8 Decent Work and then at Social Innovation Canada he developed a project aiming to promote the SDGs across Canada with a particular emphasis on supporting Social Purpose Organizations to track their social impact. Today Randy is managing a community social finance program at North York Community House.
